Welcome to my Christmas tour! I am so excited you stopped by! Today is part 1 hosted by Seasons of Home blog series and my real life friend from Ella Claire and Co. In two weeks I will share part 2 with this year’s Holiday Housewalk. Come on in!
When you walk into our house you are greeted by this little nook under the stairs. I struggled for years trying to outfit this space, then I built a floating bench and sigh…it just felt right, like it belonged there. We are steps from the bay so coastal hues always have a way of infusing themselves into my décor, even during the holidays.
Blending faux greenery with real is a must since we start so early. This gift ornament is the prefect example, if you look closely you will see real eucalyptus mixed with faux cypress. The large bells are from Target as well as the faux greenery, see below for the shop the post.
As the sun begins the fade the magic happens…
This is our new powder room. Who says you can’t make simple changes that yield big results. The sage green botanical wallpaper softly whispers Christmas, doesn’t it?
More Target finds, see below to shop the post. You wont be able to from your mobile, if you see something you like just hop on from a larger device.
My den…a place where everyone spends tons of time. Crazy thing, it used to be my dining room. It was only used a few times a year so we made a functional decision.
It is also my workspace /studio.
Thinking about a slipcover too but wondering how practical it is, check out my video.
The pom-pom wreath I made years ago but every year it still makes an appearance, some items are just classics.
The vintage snow shoes were a great find at a friend’s shop on Long Island.
More magic as the sun fades, my favorite time of the day!
The plaid throw is from Etsy. A good tip, if you stick with the same color palette whether at Christmas or year round you will always be able to move your accessories from room to room.
You can find the tutorial to my abstract ball ornamentson my Instagram.
My family room has seen a lot of change over the last six months. I added the grid board and batten then I painted my fireplace green, yikes!
Oh, I also changed my curtains. Bye, bye blue, hello crisp white!
One of my favorite projects this season are these leather wrapped candles. I took mismatched white pillar candles and turned them into these beauties. You can watch the how to HERE.
Happy Monday friends!! I am so excited to share this fun, easy & super stylish summer project with you today! Our collection of driftwood has grown each year, as “hunting for treasure” is a favorite summer pastime. No matter how old my boys get they still like the adventure, you honestly never know what you will find washed up ashore. We have found some pretty awesome pieces lately and it got me thinking, what else could we make with them? I love dimensional & sculptural objects, they add a flavor to open shelving & vignettes that no other accessory can. As I began to see some of the driftwood we found together as art, we all agreed these would make beautiful wood sculptures. Plus it’s a great way to hold onto those summer memories for all to appreciate for years to come.
Hi there friends! If you are one to spot trends then you have probably noticed the wood leg planter around town. I found them for the first time last year at Target and fell in love. I waited for them to go on clearance, then snatched them up. They have a clean, mid-century modern look that is super stylish & chic but can be a bit pricey. I found THESE a few weeks ago at West Elm and knew right away that they were a great look. The mix of wood and cement were a perfect pairing of textures. Once I saw the price I knew a DIY was in order.
Hi friends! As promised I am finally sharing more of my master bedroom. I hit the ground running in the beginning of January, getting so many projects done, crossing things off my list left & right, working…
One of my resolutions in the new year has been to stay on top of the endless cleaning in my house. It seems like there are always crumbs on the floor, dishes in the sink, milk…
Everyone is talking about Annie Sloans Chalk Paint, And those who try it LOVE it. It’s expensive so before I bought it I thought I would try a DIY chalk paint recipe first. Make sure you dissolve the plaster…
Happy Tuesday! It was so nice to have a LONG weekend & hibernate a little. Saturday, I stayed in pretty much the entire day, I cleaned and sewed while catching up on some sappy love stories on The…

This painting is well worth considering. I bought it yesterday and I was very surprised when I received it. They ship very fast and the painting really fits my space very well. https://daisycorners.com/product/geometric-black-and-white-stripes-canvas-art-poster-prints-modern-minimalist-lines-art-painting-wall-picture-home-room-decor/
