Summer Patio Part 2-Seasons of Home Tours

It’s summer patio part 2 reveal day! I am teaming up with my Seasons of Home friends and we are all sharing our outdoor spaces today! Aside from the holiday posts, these are my favorite! I love getting inspiration and ideas this time of year from some of the best in the business:).  These bloggers will knock your socks off, so be sure to click through at the bottom. A big thank you to my real life friend, Kristen from Ella Claire for hosting this event.

This patio did not always look like this. It took a long weekend of labor to lay the pea gravel, the befores were horrendous! You can check out last year’s summer post, it has a lot of great shots of the backyard from when we first moved in.

The teak table you can find here, we got it last year and it is a favorite piece out here. I just did a review of my outdoor sectional, the Urba, I had so many emails that I thought I would write a post. Another outdoor favorite!

The fire pit I actually painted this year so it would resemble cement. It worked and I love it, it’s so much softer!Summer Patio Part 2-Seasons of Home Tours

The privet is the best part of this very small backyard. It is well taken care of and trimmed 3-4 times per season by John and our awesome neighbor. He got it back after it was wild for many many years, we owe him big time!

I turned our potting shed into a herb bar. Last year was the first year and it made all my favorites very easily accessible and pretty too!

I have had a lot of questions about the new fire pit. It’s handsome and sleek but the round ones give off way more heat, just FYI.

This space isn’t big but it’s cozy and comfortable, it took us one full weekend to complete if you can believe it. In case you are wondering about the privacy screens, you can find details HERE.

  2. Im thinking about GETTING an outdoor sectional. We have an outdoor, uncovered concrete patio That has no protection from the elements. Do hou leave your cushions out all THE time? Does rain make the filler soggy? Is there a certain fabric I should buy? Did you leave your furniture out all winter, too? Did you cover it? When we had outdoor furniture years ago, it would start pouring outside and we would be gone and I would think Oh no-the cushions.

    1. Hi Dana, outdoor furniture has come a long way in the last 5-6 years. I have 2 outdoor sofas and most often the cushions are left out all the time. The clean up great with water and bleach but I tested both before using the bleach.Late fall we put it all away and cover whats left for the season. I hope this helps. Jen
