Simple Fall Outdoor Tablescape Using Jewel Tones + Ferns

I have to admit something, I am not a formal table setting kind of girl. As much as I have enjoyed setting some festive tables in my day, I am pretty informal at heart. When fall comes around each year I get excited to design my outdoor tablescape and give it a more natural and casual vibe. So with that being said I am sharing my simple fall outdoor table using jewel tones and ferns. The biggest thank you to my “real life” friend Alicia from A Burst of Beautiful for hosting this amazing blog hop to get you inspired for entertaining this fall.

For me the best part about fall is heading out to the North Fork for some hot cider, spiced cider donuts, corn (not pictured), kettle corn, fresh fall fruits, hay rides, maybe a little wine (also not pictured) and of course PUMPKINS!

So I thought why not bring the country to my backyard and create a laid back atmosphere inspired by fall.

You can see my garden is still sort of going  and I love the look of it in the background, even if it’s looking a little sparse. When it looks like this I am reminded how good it has been to us. I used ferns from my pots and yard along with sage to add some greenery to the table. My tip is, trim anything that might look nice in a single, small vase. Then for your larger vases trim some tree branches. The more they have turned in color the better they look.

Oh, I forgot about the pumpkin beer, another must have in the fall. We love the cinnamon rim, do you?

String lights, candles and blankets always add a cozy touch.

Do you have a favorite fall indulgence? It’s a nice time of year to switch gears and go all in with apples, cinnamon and anything pumpkin, right?!

The plaid throw blanket inspired this entire color palette and gave me the idea to bring in jewel tones for this table display. I bought it last year and used it in my fall den. When decorating for fall or any season, be sure to look at what you have first. If you tend to buy within the same color palette then those items can be re purposed.
