Style House-Liz Marie Blog
Hi! I am Liz from Lizmarieblog.com & I am so excited to be here on Jennifer’s beautiful blog today! A little about me, I am a military wife, blogger, & interior designer. We recently sold our home here in NC & we are renting a history home downtown NewBern, NC until we move home to Michigan in a few months when my husband gets out of the military. We love our historic rental so much, but we are also excited to move to our house in Michigan which we have completely gutted & we are slowly re-doing it from afar. We can’t wait to get home and share the dramatic before & afters & also get down and dirty with lots of renovation & DIY’s on the home. Until then, we are loving our 1800’s rental & decorating it has been way too much fun!
DIY cabinet in our master bedroom.
Our historic rental fall dining room.
Our vintage card catalog hallway.
Our rustic sunroom makeover.
Our rustic rental sitting room.
Our antique guest bedroom.
That’s not our entire home, but I didn’t think I should bore you with a thousand photos. Be sure to visit my blog to see more & to follow our journey from our historic rental to our home in Michigan through all of our renovations. You can find me on the blog, Instagram, Facebook, & Pinterest.

Thank you Liz for the most amazing tour! I hope you will follow her if you aren’t already, I know she has tons of BIG ideas in store for her new home in Michigan. She is a creative genius, you don’t want to miss a thing.
Have a beautiful weekend,
I love reading both of your blogs so what a treat to get both in one!
Swooning over Liz’s home. How sweet, comfy and pretty. Good luck moving back to Michigan and into your new home.

What a fabulous home and tour. Love how warm and inviting.
Awesome guest post and I love her blog already but still enjoy seeing all the pictures again. 🙂 Thank you to both of you guys, I hope you all have a great weekend. 🙂
LOVE. IT. Especially your card catalog. Your home looks so cozy and truly comfortable.
If her rental home is this fantastic just think how Michigan home will be. So much to see in these photos, have to go back to look again, so many inspirations in each room featured. Love it all.
Happy weekend
Lots of inspiration here. I especially like the blue walls and the blue leather desk chair facing the room instead of against the wall in the usual placement.
Oh my goodness! I live just down the road from you! We live in Jones County, but love love love downtown New Bern. Probably pass your house all the time. Small world, huh? The rooms look lovely. PS- If you get tired of that card catalog, I will take it off your hands. 😉
where to in Michigan?? noticed the Grand Rapids sign – our home town:)))
I adore your beautiful historical rental. You have such a magical touch! I can’t wait to see what you do with your Michigan home!
