Welcome to my Rustic Chic Thanksgiving Table…..
For me the holidays are about being thankful, so I created a gratitude jar as a centerpiece for my Thanksgiving Table.
You can read more about my story HERE.
I love the idea of mixing natural elements + textures.
I recently moved my bleached sisal from HERE into my dining room.
I have to tell you this rug is the most beautiful + comfortable sisal I have EVER felt + seen!
Even my Mr. CF who has never been fond of sisals {says they are too scratchy} loves it too!
Are you tired of seeing these plaid beauties?
These are actually scarves I got from HERE for just $5.
Spray painted dollar store vases gives that chicness {is that a word?} I was going for.
Mixing up seating options is a good way to freshen up the space without spending a lot of money. I just pulled a settee from my kitchen + brought the bench to the other side. Adding feathers makes anything look pretty, wouldn’t you agree?
These candle sticks are another DIY {to be shared Friday}.
Mixing the rattan with gold + natural textures makes me happy!
So we can share what we are grateful for…
To be placed in the jar to read after dinner.
Loving the peacock blue velvet pillows.
What did you think of my centerpiece? It is very, very easy to make, I will show you how…
what you need…
slender birch pillar
large wood slice
flat head screw driver
hammer
wood glue
mineral oil
1. Scrape off the birch bark, using screw driver + hammer. This is totally optional, I just wanted a darker wood tone.
2+3. Grab your large wood slice & scrape off bark along the side using the same method.
4. Find center of wood slice, layer a good amount of wood glue.
5. Glue on the birch log.
6. Let dry + wipe on mineral oil to seal the top.
