Modern Rustic DIY Candle Holders + Thanksgiving Table
Happy Friday friends! Welcome to part 2 of my Rustic Chic Thanksgiving Table! On Monday I shared part 1 + a really clever DIY made from birch slices, you can find it HERE. I am so excited to be sharing my table and project along with 12 other amazing ladies {love these girls!} thanksgiving tablecapes as well {links at the bottom of post}!
Along with my table I am sharing a really easy DIY, perfect for the holidays. I am so inspired by the idea of mixing contrasting styles like modern + rustic and had some left over wood from THIS project & thought huh….what could I make?! Candle Holders!!!
what you will need….
1- 3″ x 3″ pillars {I used poplar}
table saw {if you don’t have this ask a friend or your home improvement store}
steel wool + vinegar
foam brush
Frog Tape
Krylon Metallic Gold spray paint
3/4″ or larger {depending on your taper size} drill bill
Having small children I am big on the LED candles & for these especially. You can find beautiful tapers HERE. To be safe don’t use real candles.
Grateful for….
We write what we are thankful for before dinner we place in the gratitude jar to be read after dinner in random order, it keeps things fun.

Oh Jen! You are so talented. You seriously blow me away all of the time with your creativity! Your candlesticks are so creative and fun and I love the plaid and the leaves at each place setting!
Thank you Kristen!!! Your table was amazing!!! I could have spent the entire day there!
The furs on your benches – are they ones you made or have you bought others? I am thinking of making one as you did last Christmas. I want them really fluffy, and I can’t find fabric.
