Rustic Chic Thanksgiving Tablescape + Hop
Hi friends! Have I got a treat for you today!! This is one of my favorite hops of the year because it’s all about creative ways to dress your Thanksgiving Table & honestly, I can never get enough of this. Thank you to my real life blogging buddy, Bre over at Rooms For Rent for including me in this inspiring tablescape hop with some of my favorite girls! You can check out my table from last year HERE.
There is no right or wrong way to dress a table but there are a few things to keep in mind. Height is key, make sure you layer different heights on your table to give interest and elegance. If you are using tapers be sure they are sturdy enough and wont tip over. If in doubt, use chunky pillars and set them on varying size bases, this will give you a staggered height look and be a little safer with little ones.
You also want to keep your color palette in mind and be sure to repeat your pattern. Don’t be afraid to play with pattern and color especially this time of year. I found these eggplant succulents at Target {they are on sale right now for cheap!!} & they inspired the whole table. Adding an item that brings the palette together, like the plaid scarf on the chair, is also helpful.
Details matter and your guests will appreciate the thought that went into every little piece you selected and made. I also love the idea of letting your friends & family take something home, hence the petite pumpkins.
The rules of 3 and odd numbers in general are an important part of styling a table. When something looks off I always start counting, I know that may seem silly but that is usual what it is.
Don’t be afraid to change up your art with each season, this Fall Calligraphy Art you can find HERE.
Bring on the texture! I layered 2 faux fur throws to my bench and added some seeded eucalyptus to my table for texture and a natural touch.
Even during the day, lit candles just set the mood.
