Easy DIY Sunburst Mirror + More Lowe’s News
Hi friends! I am headed into NYC tomorrow for an event with Lowe’s, which I am super excited about. I have designed two spaces that will be a part of the Allen & Roth Spring Preview launch. Be sure to follow me on INSTAGRAM so you don’t miss a thing, I tend to post the most there. Before I head off on this little adventure I wanted to follow up with this easy DIY from my Woodland Inspired Dining Room with Lowe’s. This dining room is also being featured in the Lowe’s Creative Ideas Magazine, be sure to pick one up.
As I began planning my Christmas dining room with Lowe’s this year, I knew I wanted it to be a mix of store items as well as DIY. It always adds a personal touch and it saves you money when you can do it yourself. I love any kind of sunburst mirror and with the holidays quickly approaching gold is an obvious choice.
DIY GOLD SUNBURST MIRROR
What you will need:
ceiling medallion (2)
metallic gold spray paint
mirror-slightly larger than the opening (2)
adhesive
hooks
I simply took 2 ceiling medallions and sprayed them gold in a well ventilated area.
I then used a strong adhesive and glued my mirror to the back.
Once they are dry you can use that same glue to adhere a hook to the back. These are not heavy but be sure your hooks are well fastened to the backs before hanging.
What do you think? Kind of cool right?! Do you have a good holiday hack or DIY you would like to share, I would love to hear it!

Have a beautiful week,
Hi there! Where did you find the mirrors? Craft store?
Hi Andrea, Yes, any craft store:). Good Luck!
Hi Jen, it’s weird, we were at Lowe’s yesterday and I was looking at those medallions thinking, hmmm, would make great mirrors, so nice and light to hang. As soon as I saw what you had on wall I had feeling that’s what you had used and by your title of post. Been wanting mirrors like that but oh so pricey for this budget. Next time in town going to get all needed to make those. So glad you shared. Would make great gift also.
My goodness you are really progressing in becoming a top blogger, (if not one already) maybe you’ll be more than designer pretty soon. So happy for you. Your talents are speaking for themselves as you go along, keep attracting attention of people who can point you in right direction. Couldn’t think of nicer person for this. I appreciate your humility and always being so pleasant.
Always admire your posts, how you put things together to make a more than lovely home.
You are an inspiration to me. Who says old dogs can’t learn new tricks, not you, me.lol

Where is your plaid table cloth from? Is it a blanket/scarf?
It is from H & M Kristen:)
So beautiful! This dinning room is very elegant and cozy! I really love the sofa
Love all your rooms but I think your dining room is my favorite. I copied the table you did for Lowe’s with the red plaid. The mirrors look great too. I’m looking for your drapes from West Elm and can’t did them. Do you remember the name? I still can’t find that plaid fabric on the other website either that you showed in your dining room later.Any idea what it was called? Thanks for any info.
