A Warm + Cozy Must Have For Your Holiday Home
Hi there friends! It’s beginning to feel like winter here on Long Island with below freezing temps and that means evenings spent indoors playing games and watching movies fireside has once again arrived. I love the change of seasons and the idea of hibernating indoors when it gets really cold. But if you are like me, you also like being comfortable, there is nothing worse than being cold in your home. Am I right?! I just discovered a new, warm & cozy must have for your home during the holidays and winter season. If you have a wood burning fireplace then you will love this product. It’s called Java Log from Pine Mountain, it’s a fire log made from recycled coffee grounds and I can’t tell you enough how much John & I love this product!!!
My house has 17 windows on the first floor alone with an open floor plan. Being so close to the bay, when the wind whips it makes the house feel that much colder. So we try to use our fireplace as much as possible. After 6+ years of making fires John would agree he still hasn’t quite mastered the skill of building the perfect fire. We call my brother in law Glenn, the “Fire God” but he will attest that it’s taken him decades to learn. And me, forget it, it intimidates the heck out of me so I won’t even try. That is until now.
Now that I know about Java Log, everything has changed:)! When I say this product makes building a fire easy, it’s NO JOKE! Easy as 1, 2,3! You literally pull the back seem up and light at the arrows marked. And it’s good for the earth!!
Another thing I like is it has no odor! Before I would go to bed and the upstairs would reek of smoke. With the Java Log there is such a minimal odor in general you can’t even notice the fire place was burning. On the package it says it burns for 4 hours but we got almost 5 hours.
It is also easy to clean up as well. The best part about this log is that it is recycled from coffee grinds!!!
You can find them on Amazon and Walmart.
Doesn’t it make a pretty fire?
Denver likes it too^^^!
I definitely see more moments like this in the near future!

Have a happy day!
