Cheerful Fall Den + New Built In Doors
Hi there friends! I am thrilled to bring you another segment of the Seasons of Home Holiday Series. Today we are sharing our Fall Family Rooms & in my case my den. This series is where 16 (amazing) bloggers + a guest blogger (also amazing) share design related holiday posts throughout the season, meant to inspire you as you head into the holidays. They run the gamete from decorating tips, recipes, DIY, tablescapes and so much more!!! A big thank you to our host and my friend, Kristin from Ella Claire.
My goal this season was to make this space feel fun, casual, cheerful & fall like without going crazy with your typical fall touches like pumpkins & pinecones. I think part of me hasn’t fully let go of summer yet and the other part wanted to show you how easily you can transition to fall by simply adding a few pops of colors & texture.
I also wanted to share with you my new built-in doors. It has been on my list of things to get done for a while and finally they are!!! I am thrilled, they look so much better!!
Nothing says fall more than a plaid throw, am I right?! I picked this one up at Home Goods and it was love at first sight! It was the only thing I purchased for this space, the rest of the items are things I already had. Don’t be afraid to shop your house and move things around, you don’t always need new things to make your house feel fresh & stylish. This throw was perfect because it brought in all the colors in the space including the art and it feels cozy too.
The new doors^, before I had a curtain here which was sloppy looking & now it feels complete. You can find it HERE and what the room looked like as my dining room.
We use this room way more now as a den, I am so happy we made the switch.
The art I made at the beginning of the year, it’s my favorite piece thus far that I have created. My goal for this season is to make more creative time, it’s when I am my happiest!
The watercolor is another piece I painted. The bottles I have collected through the years and it gives a nice contrast to the other natural textures in the space. You can find the Driftwood Sculptures HERE.
My local florist has beautiful succulents on display and thought the color, size and leaves on this one where just stunning!
I used dried hydrangeas with some purple & plum hues to give a fall touch, again, didn’t cost me a thing.
This is what real life looks like in this space. New goal in here to get a longer coffee table so Jack can spread out with this Legos:). You can see Denver loves this room too, that is his spot, he oversees all the building that goes on, lol.
