Fall Boho Living Room Inspiration + Paint Changes

Hi there friends! I hope you all had a great week! Happy almost fall! My boys went back on Wednesday and I hit the ground running with all the projects I had been planning and trying to dive into while they where home. Towards the end of summer I honestly feel like I can’t make any good design decisions or any creative ones at all for that matter. I have tried for the last few years and towards the end of summer I just give up. I let it be a reminder that I can’t be & do everything and my boys are only little once. So I decide to focus on the time I have with them, design can wait:).

I have been contemplating some family room (living room) changes. Lately I am digging a refined take on bohemian, with lots of texture, warm woods, simple lines, patterns & shapes, crisp whites with moody fall hues. I am loving indigo, stormy grays, ochre, rust and shades of the sea. Even though these colors are perfect for fall they are evergreen, which means they work well year round. One of the changes I am pondering is painting the mantel wall in my family room a beautiful moody gray/green called Homburg Gray by Sherwin-Williams. The other walls Pure White by Sherwin-Williams. What do you think? Isn’t this color gorgeous! I just NEED to use it somewhere!

Still pondering it myself. I need a good few weeks to decide, alone with my thoughts, haha. Anyways here are a few favorites for a bohemian living room that lead rather nicely into fall….

  1. I love the boho look and feel. Think about just doing the fireplace surround/mantle in the dark color. 😍
