Outdoor Fall Tablescape Using Driftwood, Herbs + Succulents
Hi there friends! Do I have a treat for you! I have teamed up with 10 other amazing bloggers today to bring you a ton of creative ways to style your fall table. A big thank you to my good friend Alicia from A Burst of Beautiful for putting together such a feast for the eyes!
Since last week I brought you tips on creating a magazine worthy casual fall centerpiece , today I thought I would set up my outdoor table for fall. I was on the fence about what to do for this post being I no longer have a formal dining room but then I remembered the outdoor table, bingo!
My goal for this table was to only use what I had. I wanted to test myself to see if I could actually do and guess what, it was so much fun! I used driftwood, lots of herbs, succulents, fruits and dried hydrangeas to create a rustic tablescape.
The plaid throw anchors the table and gives it that much needed cozy, fall texture. I clipped some Rosemary & Sage and used jute to tie around pieces of found driftwood from my walks with my family at the beach. Jack really got into collecting this year so I had a good amount of fun, smaller pieces that were perfect for a table gift.
Don’t be afraid to mix up your table this holiday season. If you bring continuity with color & texture then you can add some unexpected layers.
The large piece of driftwood in the center was found after a storm on the beach. I thought the shape was beautiful. I added 2 succulents to the top to give it some natural life.
Using fruits with rich hues gives a fall vibe, I used plums and grapes, with red wine and dried hydrangeas to make the table feel cohesive.
I love how it looks at night with the lights. I am all set to entertain! The great thing about this look is its versatile. I can picture having pizza & salad out here with this tablescape.
