This year I decided to ditch my typically fall hues and opt for a fresh look with hints of lilac, pink and blue in my family room. The inspiration came from a piece (actually 2)…
Hi there friends! With 2 weeks straight of sickness I am finally catching up on some design projects at home. I thought it might be fun to share the “in progress” decisions, since some might not make the cut to an actual blog post. Some of the “design happenings” around here include deciding on a new sectional, an IKEA hack in the works and a quick gallery wall inspired by photo booth images.
Hi there friends! There were lots of questions on my partial family room reveal, so today I am dishing! I really do love all the updates in my family room and the white walls made…
Hi there friends! Have you heard the news?! Green is back!!! Last year it was the “it” color, we saw it go from soft to sultry, on walls, cabinetry, furnishings, art and accessories. This year it’s still on trend and make no mistake about it, it’s not your mother’s forest green. As I write this I still can’t believe a. it’s back in and b. I am liking it! My mom fancied “the green” and she used it in every, single room at one point, yikes!!! This classic color has gotten a fresh new persona with it’s neutral sensibility and style adaptability, so I for one am going to give it a try.
Hi there friends! One of my goals for the next year is to give you more diversification when it comes to design. To give you more ideas outside my own 4 walls. The easiest way to do that is to create looks with mood boards and direct links to sources. Mood boards can be incredibly helpful for focusing in on a look; the furnishings, fabrics, woods, hues, balance of textures, art, etc…It also keeps you on track because you have a visual. Honestly, I wish I did this for every room in my house when we moved in, it would have saved me a ton of time & money! It is also a good tool to keep your house feeling cohesive.
Hi there friends! As promised I am sharing the easy tutorial on how I created a marbleized effect on the coffee mugs I just showcased in my Hot Cocoa Bar. I was on the hunt for green mugs and couldn’t find any, so I thought I would try something fun & different. I am also sharing my Rachael Ray episode date, which is right around the corner, eek!!!
Hi there friends! I am doing a paint giveaway with Sherwin Williams over on Instagram! It’s a pretty sweet deal! They are giving paint for one room, a design consult via phone with me and…
Hi there friends! I have a fantastic before & after to share with you today! Living close to the water my backyard furniture can get worn very quickly. This year I decided it was time to give my outdoor dining table a refresh. With the help of my friends at Sherwin-Williams I was able to find the perfect color & products for this makeover.
Today is the day! After much suspense I am finally sharing Sydney’s Teen Room Reveal with Sherwin-Williams and Pottery Barn Teen as a part of National Painting Week!! In my last post I introduced Sydney, shared some before shots and a little peek inside the makeover. In just a few short weeks we transformed a once very boyish space into a girl’s bedroom dream! To be able to create a space for Sydney to enjoy through her teen years brought me such joy, I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything!
Hi there friends! I have been holding onto a project that is near & dear to my heart and today I get to share it!!! I am so excited, you have no idea! I have…
Hi there friends! Happy Monday! I am in the planning stages for 2 major makeovers right now, one of which is with Sherwin-Williams and the other I will share more soon, I promise. I am super excited about both of these because it is giving me an opportunity to give back and to explore paint and design outside my own home, which is always fun!
Although I do love color and I tend to gravitate towards neutrals most often so I thought I would share the best 9 I found recently from Sherwin-Williams. I have tried many of these and they are no fail. They are versatile, soft and go with any style of décor.
