No matter how old we are, we still want the approval of our parents. When we have exciting news to share, often, they are the first ones we want to share it with. At least,…

I am not sure how to follow my last post. In a nutshell it basically summed up home as more than just it’s aesthetic. If the last 6 months have taught me anything it’s to…
It’s been 7 years and 10 months since we bought our house. In that time our 4th bedroom/aka playroom has seen many changes and it’s never really felt quite done. There were always other projects…

Hi there friends! I am thrilled to bring you another segment of the Seasons of Home Holiday Series. Today we are sharing our Fall Family Rooms & in my case my den. This series is where 16 (amazing) bloggers + a guest blogger (also amazing) share design related holiday posts throughout the season, meant to inspire you as you head into the holidays. They run the gamete from decorating tips, recipes, DIY, tablescapes and so much more!!! A big thank you to our host and my friend, Kristin from Ella Claire.
Hi friends! Today is the day, I am finally sharing the full reveal of my den with white walls!! The before and afters will blow you away, it really is amazing what paint can do. If you remember I was back and forth between another dark hue or going light in this room. After much debate and many paint samples later I decided white was best. I wanted the transition between the picture molding and the wall to be seamless. The color I selected was Pure White by Sherwin-Williams and I couldn’t be happier!!! It feels fresh and bright in here, it was just the change I was looking for.
Hi friends, I am happy to share that more progress has been made in the new den! The walls have finally been painted!! I decided to go with a crisp white to highlight the warm woods, organic textures and bold hues in the art and a few accessories. The goal for this room was to create a modern-rustic vibe that felt cool & casual, oh and comfortable too. Last week I revealed part 1, the linen & leather furniture combination from Article and today I am sharing the mid-century modern sideboard that was love at first sight.
As most of you know I have been busy working on my boys rooms. It seems like these makeovers have taken me months, I have waited so long to do these rooms that I want to do it right. I don’t like to rush design, that is when I make mistakes. Plus, it is way more fun to be deliberate about the things you plan, choose and eventually select. For me the hunt is my idea of a good time, anyone else? So you can imagine my excitement when I found these stunning & playful whale prints below from Minted. Since I was/am going for a modern coastal look in Jack’s room I loved the abstract nature of these watercolor prints. I can just picture these in a beach house that has a rustic, modern aesthetic, can’t you? In any case they are just perfect, so I had to share.
Hi friends! I hope your summer is wonderful and amazing so far! I just got back from Haven {well Sunday am} and it has taken me a few days to process the trip, I mean…
