Lowe’s Spring Makeover Update & Design Plans
Happy Friday friends! I wanted to give you an update on the Lowe’s Spring Makeover and also share my design plans & ideas with you. First off, THANK YOU to all of you who submitted your projects and opened up your heart and home to us. I wish I could have chosen all you. After selecting the deserving homeowner in the Hartford, CT area I got right to work. My mind was overflowing with ideas as I wanted to give this first time homebuyer an outdoor space she would love and could cherish for years to come.
Take a look at the before….
The homeowner loves to entertain but wanted a space that was casual & stylish at the same time. The challenge for me with these 2 areas was designing around the walkthroughs and traffic flow. I REALLY am so pleased with the design plan and can’t wait to get started in a few weeks.
Here is the plan for the deck….
*paint & stain deck
*paint backdoor SW Naval
*add tall planters at either side of door
*create a “built in” seating look with benches & a round coffee table
*add an herb garden
*give extra lighting
*layer in herbs and tropicals
*replace backdoor light
Here is the plan for the patio…
*give the concrete patio a facelift
*add shrubs along the long length of the patio
*give ample seating with a sectional & stools
* layer in plantings, tropicals & greenery
*create a lighting solution
*add a fire pit
*break up the space with area rugs
*create an entertaining area
These of course are just a few of the many things we will be doing for this deserving homeowner.
Be sure to stay tuned!
Have a beautiful weekend!
