Anchored- Bath Design
I finished my half bath!
It’s been hanging over my head since we moved in over a year ago. It’s a space I know our guests will usually visit before they leave yet it took me this long to decorate it.
I am sure some of you can sympathize. You move into a home & there are a million things to do, literally! And you are juggling a million things to begin with so……sometimes these things take time:).
Honestly, it’s that & also the fact that I like to be inspired by something before I dive into a project & sometimes that takes time too. Our running theme in our home is “coastal living”; we live near the water and are at the beach every chance we get, even in the winter (the best time.) I never want my home to feel themed, so I take my time and wait until inspiration hits to create a space that feels organic and hopefully that shows.
I have always been drawn to anchors, partly because I have grown up near the water but also in part because of the idea; to anchor to something, to connect to something, someone. The idea that we, my family is anchored to each other & what we believe in and that when life gets hard & bumpy, crazy & chaotic, we have one another to fasten to.
So there it came, the idea. This is what followed……
Jen,
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Love your half bath and your decorating style. I grew up vacationing on the Eastern Shore in Maryland so coastal decor is dear to my heart.
I also love those white tulips too.
II love this…. where did you get the frames and the anchor for the picture ?
Wow, this is so well done. I am like you, I try to wait until I have some sort of inspiration before jumping into a project, otherwise it comes out jumbled. Beautiful job!
Cute bathroom! I love all the personalized touches that make it yours. I LOVE the mirror in your bathroom! Where did you get it?
Blessings,
Marlana
I am stealing this bathroom! You are so right~ the guest bath is something that most guests see and I have put little thought into it!! I think a simple solution to the bead board (especially around plumbing) would be to do the 1X4 boards spaced apart and then paint the boards and walls a bright white. I am so excited to have found this AND I LOVE the quote!!!
Hi, Jen, I like your style. Do you mind to share the dimension of the half bath? I have a little one 40″x60″. Thanks.
Hi David, its little, I think it was a closet at one point. Thank you so your kind words! Happy Fall! Jen
