Hamptons Inspired Backyard-Shop The Look

Summer Nights + Loving Your Outdoor Space

Thank you so much for all of your kind words about my Hamptons Inspired Small Backyard Reveal last week. The thing I love most about this space is that everything I put together for this outdoor area is achievable. I worked with Lowe’s  on this project and couldn’t be happier with all of the products and how it turned out. This look is fresh, classic, affordable and attainable, here is how you can get this look in your backyard….

I reused vintage chairs I had and gave them a fresh coat of white spray paint and paired them with this bench & driftwood stained outdoor table. Combining pieces you already have with some new items is a great way to save money. Also mixing & matching in the same color palette will give you a stylish and authentic look not everyone will have.

I created this DIY outdoor kitchen by adding a potting bench, painted in Tricorn Black to this stunning grill. It is perfect because it gives us a place to serve food, drinks and prep for grilling.

This sectional not only looks amazing with its gray weathered stain but is also very comfortable. An added bonus is that it is all outdoor friendly. I added a custom look by mixing & matching pillows which we store in an outdoor storage box. And the fire pit, it is awesome! We love being able to turn a knob at night when it’s time to go inside, plus it looks pretty.

Isn’t is pretty with the Edison string lights? My boys love when the lights are on at night, they feel like they are camping, throw in some s’more making and they are 2 happy campers:).

  1. What a perfect backyard oasis! The string lights really take it to the next level, and I love the letters on the side of your shed. I would have never thought to decorate a shed like that!

  2. Really like this look – colors are great! I’m interested in knowing more about the green backdrop, hedge. We had a very thick hedge when we lived in California that was green all year. But now we live in Indiana ( very different climate)and don’t have a clue what to plant to create a similar look that will grow in our lifetime. Any suggestions?

    1. Hi Linda, it is a hedge called privet, it grows really well here in the NE, I wish it stayed green all year but it is pretty when it is in bloom. I would ask your local greenhouse or Lowe’s about privet, it might do well in Indiana. Good luck & thank you for your sweet words, Jen

  3. A place where I would want to spend a lot of time relaxing and entertaining! Beautifully perfect!

  4. Does your fire pit have a propane tank? If so, how do you hide it or the gas line for it?
