Mango Mojito Spritzer: A Refreshing Summertime Cocktail
It’s a blessing and a curse that a previous homeowner decided to plant mint in our backyard. This very invasive patch is half-near impossible to stave off, but has provided the freshest, most aromatic herbs for many a mojito. Gosh darn, good for sumthin’.
It’s quite possibly one of the best scents I’ve experienced. I wish this was a scratch-and-sniff article so you could feel what I’m putting down. #thefuture
This little pretty packs a punch. The tartness of the lime coupled with the sweetness of the mango topped off with sparkling, bubble water marry into a zesty, refreshing libation greeting summer days. In a nutshell, this effervescent elixir has FUN written all over it.
Requiring few tools, and few ingredients, toss this easy cocktail recipe together for a last-minute get together or pack it up for a picnic. You’ll be seeing nothing but swooning eyes. I mean, girl, look at that colorrrr.
I’ll see you at the bar in two shakes of a lamb’s tail. Ya dig?
Mango Mojito Spritzer
Makes one cocktail
10 fresh mint leaves
5 frozen mango chunks, slightly defrosted
2 oz. lime juice
1 tsp. confectioner’s sugar
2 oz. silver rum
6-8 oz. seltzer
1 mint sprig
lime slice
ice
Bar Tools
cocktail shaker

Coarsely tear mint leaves. In a cocktail shaker, add mint, confectioner’s sugar and mango chunks. Muddle until mango becomes a fine pulp. Add lime juice, rum and lightly muddle some more.
Place ice in a lowball glass. Using a strainer, pour your mixture over ice. Shake, shake, shake to retain every last drop. Top off with seltzer, slice of lime, sprig of mint, and a cocktail pick with two mango chunks. Serve straightaway!
Cheers!!
