Hi friends, happy Friday!!! My search for a mid-size cabinet for the corner of my family room has come to a end. When I realized I wasn’t finding what I was looking for, although it was really pretty simple, I began to think of affordable wood options. An IKEA hack came to mind!! By putting 2 Ivar cabinets together vertically I could create a simple, yet chic library cabinet for the corner of my family room. Win, win!!!
Today is the day! I am finally revealing Jack’s Modern Coastal Bedroom, the before & afters and all of the sources! It has been a few months in the making so I am super excited to share this makeover with all of you, mostly because I LOVE how it turned out. Before his space lacked, in every sense of the word. We kept a queen size bed in his room for “company” but rarely used it for such. The walls were blah and it was very uninspiring. As Jack got older I really wanted a space that felt creative and fun. A place he could get away and read or play his Lego’s. I also wanted it to reflect the things he loves, like the ocean and sea creatures, mostly sharks:).
When I was asked to be a part of Beth’s Thrifty for Under $50 blog hop I was thrilled! Who doesn’t love a good challenge and an excuse to save some money? I know I do! Since I was in the middle of Jack’s Modern Coastal Room Makeover I thought why not go bold and paint his dresser I bought for a steal, navy blue.
