My New Book Title-The Summer I Found You

I have so much tea to spill about my book. First, the title changed. As an author, it can be scary, but in my case, I LOVE my publisher and team over at Alcove Press. Plus, I knew from the beginning that there was a chance that it might evolve into another title. When you feel like you’re in good hands, you tend not to question changes. It’s an incredible feeling to have faith, especially when you’re a creative, and this is your baby. So the new title is… drumroll, please…THE SUMMER I FOUND YOU. I honestly couldn’t be happier! It feels perfect for a summer beach read. The new publication date is April 7, 2026. I know it feels far, but I’m happy to have the extra time to wrap my head around the marketing part of this book journey.

The next bit of news I have to share is that an off-the-charts, insanely talented artist designed my book cover! Her name is Kate Birch, and she painted the cover of my dreams. If you’ve been following my writing journey, then you may recall that’s why I left my first traditional publishing deal. It’s not like me to cause waves or speak up, but I knew in my gut it wasn’t right. I’m glad I listened, and can’t wait to share it with you in a few months. The scene is perfect for a “found summer.” Oh, and the date is circled because I sold it on my dad’s birthday! It’s fitting since he’s been my quiet cheerleader through ALL my creative endeavors.

The above is the book aesthetic for THE SUMMER I FOUND YOU. Oh, and with secrets that have secrets and spice. To sum it up, it’s a second-chance, HGTV-esque romance with a down-on-her-luck MC.
