Favorite Classic Coastal Neutral Rugs

Lately, the consensus has been that finding the “right” rug is hard. My last few design clients have loved the Nancy Meyers Aesthetic but hoped for something a little more than the traditional sisal. While I love a good sisal, the options for classic coastal neutral rugs are limitless. Just take a look at my favorites below. The best part is that they work with many sub-styles within the coastal umbrella. Think Cottage Coastal, Traditional Coastal, Modern Coastal, Eclectic Coastal, Coastal Grandmother, Coastal Auntie, and even the newest trend, Coastal Grandpa.

A few things to keep in mind are size, durability, and cleanability. Many graphics on Pinterest give a clear guide to sizes. You can find my page HERE. If you are worried about cleanability, think low pile and get yourself THIS. When I say it’s worth every penny, I mean it. I steam my rugs at least twice a year. As far as durability goes, reviews are everything. One last tip: If you have pets and young children, you might consider a pretty outdoor rug. I bought mine from Annie Selke, Dash & Albert six years ago, and I still bleach them. They look as good today as the day I bought them.

  1. Thank you for the rug ideas, as I’m needing to replace a few that have worn out. However, in light over current events, I am no longer shopping at Amazon or Target, so I will use your finds as inspiration as I shop at the places I want to spend my dollars.
