A Vintage Buffet Becomes Pretty, Thrifty & Functional Family Storage
Hi Monday Friends!
Sometimes I feel like I am in constant pursuit for
GOOD storage.
Sound familiar??
You see we have one “family” space that fills many roles in the day,
work, play and on those rare occasion-rest and relaxation:).
So having 2 boys, a husband who can’t throw a thing away and me-the craft & yard sale hoarder, we have lots of stuff.
I found this a petite vintage buffet at the local thrift store and knew the size would be
PERFECT for behind our sectional to hide & store our little ones favorite things.
The best part- $25.00!!!
I used latex paint I already had & sealed it with clear wax , I also reused the knobs by just spray painting them.
At the end of the day it is nice to put the toys, games, Legos, books and “stuff” away.
And to sit back for a moment to admire how neat & tidy it is once again,
for a few hours anyways before a new day comes & life begins again:).

Gorgeous!!! Can you give some info on the paint you used 🙂 and how you applied the wax…I’d love to do this for my family room, you are an inspiration as always!

If you don’t mind me asking, what kind of wax did you use? I’m fixing to do a makeover like this with a hutch I found on craigslist.
