Coastal Niece Christmas Holiday Theme

I’m sure by now we’ve all heard the term Coastal Grandmother. But what about the Coastal Niece? She is the beloved Erica Barry’s fictional niece and the main character, Dahlia Newberry, in my debut novel, HOUSE IN BLOOM. And this is what this unconventional girl is loving this holiday season. It’s a little Serena & Lily meets a really good thrift store with an emphasis on bringing bits of the past into the present.

It’s all about nostalgia, recycling, and handmade while honoring the coast because it’s where she is happiest. So, whether you live coastally, secretly dream of living there, or want to bring a family vacation to life, stick around. I think you’ll like this year’s holiday theme, Coastal Niece Christmas. You can also read more about the COASTAL NIECE HERE.

My goal this year is to combine all of the Christmas decor and ornaments I’ve made over the years. I will buy a few new things this year, but for the most part, I will thrift and shop my home. The ideas below are what I either already have, will make, or buy. This look is all about nostalgia, so it doesn’t have to be perfect!

Camel Velvet Ribbon-Amazon

You can buy pre-made bows on Amazon, but they sell out fast and are more expensive. An alternative is to buy a 3/8″ thin velvet ribbon and make the bows yourself.
