Painted Built-ins with Fluted Doors, I’ve Narrowed it to Five Classic Colors
In case you haven’t already guessed it by the number of paint projects I have going on, I am nesting. And it’s becoming a problem. Honestly, I do ALL the painting in my house but I am rethinking my role as house painter big time. There is only one of me and way too much to do and paint. I used to love to paint but now as I get older, meh, I could take it or leave it. Don’t get me wrong, I love the power of paint and the epic before and afters but not the time it takes. It might be time to call up a real house painter.
Okay, so up next are my den built-ins. I will add fluting to the doors with Pole Wrap and paint the unit a classic color. Keep in mind this space used to be a dining room and the bookcase was built for serving more less. To be used as a bar for cocktails, desserts, and appetizers. When I changed this room into a den I used it for storage and decorative pieces, which is also nice. The great thing is that I do still have the option when we entertain to use it for food and drinks.

And the same space decorated for fall…
The built-ins are classic in white but the color is good for the soul.
These are the five colors I’ve narrowed it down to…
In case you are wondering, this is Pole Wrap. You can find it at your local home improvement store. This product is extremely versatile and easy to cut.
You can check my DIY Arched Billy Bookcase to see what the fluting will look like painted.

Which color is your favorite?
Have a happy day friends!
For myself, I like the warmer tones like desert TWILIGHT, cast iron, and gray owl. The gray gray tones, not so much. I’m sure whatever you choose will be fabulous.
