Happy Fall City Farmhouse Friends!
Emily here from The Wicker House, and I have a fun little Halloween project to share with you.
I got so excited when I walked into my local grocery store and found a huge pile of pumpkins.
Now, I normally wait until we go to a pumpkin patch to pick pumpkins, but I just couldn’t resist, so I grabbed the prettiest one and brought it home with me.
I love white pumpkins.
But I also wanted to decorate it, so I decided to keep it white, and turn it into a mummy. This project is so easy, your children & grandchildren will love it!!
I went to a craft store and picked up some large googly eyes. I already had the muslin fabric on hand.
The reason why I ripped the fabric rather than cut it, was so that I could get a frayed look on the edges.
I used my hot glue gun to attached the googly eyes onto the pumpkin. I then glued on the muslin strips, letting it overlap the eyes a bit.
As you can see, I didn’t use a whole lot of the muslin fabric. I liked that there is still a lot of pumpkin showing. I think if you wrap the pumpkin with too much muslin, then the pumpkin starts to become unrecognizable.
I’ll wait a few more weeks before I get out all of our other Halloween decorations.
My boy’s get so excited for that.
Thanks City Farmhouse for having me over today!
Be sure to stop by The Wicker House to see what else I have been up to.
