Happy fall friends, it’s officially that time of year! To celebrate in true fall spirit we are sharing our porch & backyard reveals with the Seasons of Home blog series! They are stunning and vary…
Hi there friends! I hope you all had a great week! Happy almost fall! My boys went back on Wednesday and I hit the ground running with all the projects I had been planning and trying to dive into while they where home. Towards the end of summer I honestly feel like I can’t make any good design decisions or any creative ones at all for that matter. I have tried for the last few years and towards the end of summer I just give up. I let it be a reminder that I can’t be & do everything and my boys are only little once. So I decide to focus on the time I have with them, design can wait:).
Happy Monday friends!! I am so excited to share this fun, easy & super stylish summer project with you today! Our collection of driftwood has grown each year, as “hunting for treasure” is a favorite summer pastime. No matter how old my boys get they still like the adventure, you honestly never know what you will find washed up ashore. We have found some pretty awesome pieces lately and it got me thinking, what else could we make with them? I love dimensional & sculptural objects, they add a flavor to open shelving & vignettes that no other accessory can. As I began to see some of the driftwood we found together as art, we all agreed these would make beautiful wood sculptures. Plus it’s a great way to hold onto those summer memories for all to appreciate for years to come.
Hi there friends! Today is my birthday and what better way to celebrate than to share my 3 rug designs for the Annie Selke Rug Challenge!! In case you are not familiar, Annie Selke is the founder/designer of Pine Cone Hill and Dash & Albert. A few months ago they asked me to join in on a Rug Challenge with 14 other bloggers and today I can finally share my the 3 designs I have been working on!! The really cool thing is, the top 10 winning designs with the most votes will be produced and showcased for the first time next April at the High Point Market!
Hi there friends! As most of you know I just finished a makeover for a very deserving homeowner and with that came the fun part of having to scout for styling pieces. I hit almost every home store you can imagine of over the last month, Ikea included. I hadn’t been in a while and they had tons of new items, especially with a beachy-boho vibe so I thought it was only fair to share my favorites:).
I am off to Haven tomorrow so I thought I would pop in before I left. This is my 2nd year going and I am super excited. For anyone who isn’t familiar with this blogging conference, its focus is DIY and decorating & let me just say this is such an amazing experience if you are a blogger whose focus is that. The nice thing is everyone is in the same genre, so there is so much to talk about, blog goals, techniques, SEO, decorating, DIY but for me the best part are those little conversations I get to have with friends old and new that make me feel connected and a part of something much bigger.
