Dried Grapefruit Slices-An Easy Natural Holiday Idea
As promised, I’m diving right into the holiday season with this dried grapefruit tutorial. This easy and all-natural holiday idea is perfect for Christmas and Thanksgiving. I’ll even go a step further and say that these fried fruit slices would make an adorable addition to your fall place setting, which can be later used as an ornament.
This is the easiest and cheapest project you will make this season. And the salmon color of the grapefruit, when dried, is delicious! There are a few steps, and it’s simple: slice and line on parchment paper. Be sure not to slice too thin or too thick. Pat them dry well and bake at 225 degrees for 3-4 hours. Be sure to flip halfway through.
Once cooled, you can poke a hole through the top to make a garland, garnish a gift bag or stockings, or make simple ornaments. You can also dry lemons, limes, clementines, and oranges.
Add a beautiful grosgrain or velvet ribbon, and you have a festive, all-natural look that highlights any style.
You can watch the video HERE. It walks you through the process. You can also take my HOLIDAY TOUR FROM 2023 and my HOLIDAY TOUR FROM 2022.
Have a happy day, friends!
