Romantic and Natural Christmas Den Tour
Welcome to my Christmas Den! This year I decided to go with a romantic and natural theme with a heavy influence of nostalgia. A concept and plan keeps me on track, so I don’t pull up every bin from the basement and buy out the Target Christmas section. If I am being completely honest, I decided to decorate this year for myself. For the last twenty years, I’ve decked the halls for everyone else, and this year I needed this for me. A big thank you to Kristen from Ella Claire for hosting the Seasons of Home Christmas Tour!

The inspiration came from this botanical from Minted. I loved the moody palette with shades of blue and used that as a springboard for the room. I used dried baby’s breath, hydrangeas, soft velvet ribbon, and mixed different metals to lean into that romantic vibe.
The built-in serves as a bar during the holidays. It typically doesn’t look this tidy, but it’s a great place to display wines from our favorite vineyard. I painted my white houses a soft french blue for something different.
I love these snowshoes I picked up at a thrift store ten years ago. It goes to show you that thrifted items stand the test of time. This display of brown paper bag stars I made one night has my heart Again, something different.
A few more favorites are the disco balls in the basket. You can see how the room sparkles. The ribbon and bells are also favorites.
A collection of petite Christmas Trees make a statement when grouped together. You can see my dad’s books at the bottom.
My little Denver is making himself comfortable. Wherever I am, he’s not far behind.
Stockings are fun to hang in unexpected places, tied with a ribbon.
One of my easiest DIYs this year are the swags I hung over the art all over my house. I tied two pieces of greenery in the middle with a bow. Easy peasy!
You can see the disco balls below. I mixed them with brass bells and a basket of greenery from Target,
The moose candlesticks are another DIY. They are a knock-off from Terrain.
