Hi there friends! Even though my current view is of our snow covered lawn, outdoor living is on my mind. On my weekly trip to Target the other day I found myself lost in their “outdoor section.” I spent a good 40 minutes there, taking pictures, thinking, measuring. Leave it to Target to once again cloud my mind and leave me wanting a complete outdoor makeover. Whether you are looking for a few modern-rustic additions or for an entirely new look Target has something for everyone. And we all know how good their prices are, especially when you take into account their ability to be right on trend.
I am LOVING this idea of sleek, mid-century inspired outdoor furniture combined with rustic wood tones. You can check out my backyard from last year, which I really do love. I honestly can’t help myself when it comes to outdoor living. Many years ago John and I looked at a house in the Old North-East section of St. Petersburg, Florida. My sister really wanted us to move down there and at one point we were very serious. Anyways, this house was built in 1940, it was completely renovated with a mid-century flair. It wasn’t large but had a great lay out and yard. Oh my gosh, the backyard space! They had a pool and stone patio with lush plants around it, it felt private, tropical and peaceful. It felt like a true outdoor oasis and since then I have been trying to recreate something similar in my own backyard. I always think about that house, even now many years later. It’s nice to see the outdoor furniture trend lean more towards this aesthetic.
Are you ready for my favorites?
There are in a black and blue color scheme….

Do you have any outdoor goals for this year? I am planning another privacy screen behind my garden and some furniture updates as well.
Have a happy Friday!
