Vintage Coastal Summer Tour

 Hi Friends!

Welcome to our summer home tour…

it is a little bit vintage with coastal touches all on a budget {of course}.

Summer-Tour-Vintage Coastal

I am so thrilled today to be joining 23 other amazing bloggers as we share our summer homes!

All the home tour links are below in case you missed their beautiful tours.

Summer Tour-Flea Market Chic Framhouse Front Porch-makeover for under 100

Our front porch is where we spend most of our time in the summer.

It is incredibly peaceful, mornings are my favorite time.

I get up early before the rest of the world wakes up {including my boys}

& sit with a BIG cup of coffee, listening to the sweet sounds of nature.

It’s my time to reflect & count my blessings:).

When we first saw our home I fell hard for this porch.

It is a very large farmhouse porch, which wraps around the side.

Every year I change it, it keeps it fresh & fun.

Fresh flowers {from my sister’s garden} always add a summer touch.

Summer Tour-Flea Market Chic Front Porch

This porch makeover was just under $100. I reused everything I had, just gave it all a fresh coat of paint,

made a DIY Petite Sofa, added lots of bright pillows & found  items for accessories.

Summer Front Porch Tour-Bright Coastal Touches {Corals & Blues}

The mirror was a cheap find on clearance at Home Goods. I love the way the natural color & texture pulls it all together.

That was a happy dance moment for sure!

And the super chic wind chime was a Mother’s Day gift from my little guy,

which was also deserving of a happy dance:).

Summer Porch-Makeover for less than $100, Flea Market Finds I feel so blessed to wake up to the water everyday.

My husband loves it too, he is able walk right over with his paddle board & windsurfer.

My oldest likes to go with him on the SUP & they go exploring along the coast.

I will share the full tutorial on this DIY sofa below next week.

I wanted this space to feel happy. I kept all of the furniture white & accented with color.

My big guy longs for a French Bulldog in the worst way so when I found it at H & M I snatched it up.

I want my boys to feel like it is their space too, that is really important to me.

  3. I took my coffee outside this morning and so enjoyed the peace-full-ness of it all. I always remember how you have said you do that each morning, I think I will make it a daily routine as well. . . . however, I don’t have an ocean to look at, but I can always pretend 🙂
    Jen, Your porch looks amazing! Love it all!

  4. So beautiful, Jen! I want to sit out on your porch and sip coffee or cocktails!

    1. Hi Gina, It is a beautiful place, would go every summer as a child, happy times:). Thank you so much, Jen

  5. What can I say every body else hasn’t? So peaceful and serene, beautiful, am quite envious, had no idea you lived right by water. We lived on Canyon Ferry Lake (south of Helena, MT) for 7 yrs and I still miss that, I’d go out to picnic table in morning to have my breakfast when not working. Was so peaceful and so big, mountains all around also. It is indeed a special way of life to live by water. Your home is so gorgeous, that porch is perfect. The colors you used on porch are exquisite, love those coral pillows with white coral on them and the shots of yellow. Ah, breathe. It’s so gorgeous there, makes you forget about winter for few months anyway.
    Makes me want to go back to MT. I’ve always loved seeing photos/movies of homes on the ocean on the East coast. Very special feeling about that area. I’m sure you appreciate what you have. Happy summer days.

    1. Hi Jane Ellen, I definitely do appreciate it:). I never thought we would ever be so close, was at the right place at the right time. Sounds like your time in MT was special:). Thank you! Have a lovely night. Jen

  10. I just love your house and blog! Our house is decorated more primitive and I am so tired of the dark. I am getting ready to lighten it up with colors like yours. I am now retired from my full time day job and I am home all day working on my passion, my craft business and I want to be surrounded by fresh and fun colors like your house. Thanks for your tour!
