A Pintrest Recipe Reality Day

Hi everyone,
I hope you all had a great weekend.
Although it was HOT & oh so humid here in the NE,
we managed to make it through most of the weekend without rain.
I wanted to thank Emily at The Wicker House for her amazing
Style House feature
and her thoughtful kick back to me on her blog.
As I mentioned last week, my niece and nephew are here
from Florida & we have been having lots of fun with them.
We took them to the local aquarium,
took an amazing trip to Brooklyn
to walk the bridge & see the city
(which I will feature next post),
had some memorable family dinners
and had some fun days at sea fishing.
Yesterday was kind of a quiet day so we
decided to test some recipes from Pintrest.
I thought I would share how we made out
& give some honest opinions:).
The Most Incredible Smores Bars
Amanda from Wit And Whistle took the most amazing
photographs & from there we were sold.
They are unreal!
Everyone loved them.
I will say it is a messy process, mine looked
NOTHING like Amanda’s beautiful pictures but
the end result was
YUMM!
I have to also say my niece Lauren Rose,
who is an avid baker at the age of 10,
also made these a few months ago
and LOVED them just as much.
So there you have it, many raving reviews:).
Off to the next….
The Best Salsa Recipe In The World!
If you are salsa obsessed like me(& my husband)
you will go crazy over this.
Michelle from The Brown Eyed Baker did a great
job giving detailed instructions for this incredible recipe!
It makes an enormous batch so definitely freeze some.
Also, if you like kick add the entire jalapeno
but if you like it more MILD then add maybe half the jalapeno.
Either way this is an amazing salsa recipe.

You can also follow my recipe board on Pintrest here.

 Enjoy your week,
