Simple Modern Farmhouse Holiday Bedroom

The holiday season has officially begun as I kick off with my first Christmas post of the season. Omg, did I really just say that?! I know, I know we haven’t even hit Thanksgiving & yesterday was Halloween but we wanted to give you plenty ideas so you had them when you are ready. Welcome to my modern farmhouse holiday bedroom! I am thrilled to have partnered with Birch Lane on this post. My goal with this room was to keep it simple by adding a few holiday touches and cozy details. The bedroom can be one of those rooms we overlook during this festive time but by keeping decorating easy we can transform such a space in no time. And the best part, some of these items can transition seamlessly into winter décor.

One of the easiest ways for any space to feel like Christmas is by adding a wreath. I have always wanted a big pine cone wreath and this one is perfect for over the gorgeous linen upholstered headboard. It says the holidays in a soft, rustic way.

Adding custom details gives a personal touch. These Polaroid inspired gift tags bring a sense of warmth to the space.

Layering in cozy details with pillows & throw blankets gives a holiday feel and again can be carried through the winter. Be sure to have a healthy mix of textures. I used velvets, knits and faux fur to balance the space and create a relaxed, festive feel.

Another custom touch, a tray of afternoon treats and coffee. If you have guests staying for the holidays I am sure this would brighten their day.

Bringing in fresh greenery is another way to make your bedroom feel like Christmas. I used olive branches from my olive tree, be creative, it doesn’t always have to always be cypress, spruce or pine.

This DIY live edge bench gives a natural rustic touch and adds to the farmhouse feel of the space. Again, I just brought in lots of cozy layers.

I also love to change out my pillows, it is fun to play with pattern and color. The newest addition is the woven, tassel pillow in rich chocolates and cream.
