Friday Favorites From Paint To Pillows
Happy Friday friends! This week has been a busy one trying to wrap up my boys bedrooms. We are in the lighting and accessories phase & often that takes the longest, for me at least. Juggling this, all while my boys have been home on Easter vacation most of the days, has been a challenge, lucky for me they are good helpers & are super excited! It is weeks like this I wonder how Chip & Joanna do all they do. They make it look easy, which I am sure it is not but how they can run a store, have a construction business, tear down houses, design them & build them back up, all while having a farm, with LOTS of animals and the sweetest children ever is beyond me. There are days I can barely get a shower in, clean up & make dinner. But on the flip side, I know I am doing the best that I can & that is enough. I was watching THIS video last night & it summed up everything I have always felt as a parent, that I get one chance at being the best mom I can be to my 2 boys and I have to pick & choose my priorities carefully because time goes by so fast and I don’t get a “do over” with them.
Lets talk favorites, first up paint. Like I mentioned I am working on my boys bedrooms. I started in Shane’s room first, the plan was white above the chair rail and below, gray {SW Repose Gray-the most awesome hue}, along with moldings and doors. Well I loved the white so much I decided to use it in Jack’s room. It was the BEST decision, it feels clean, modern and bright, the color is SW Pure White.
Another favorite this week is a house from Fixer Upper, I LOVE the gray cabinets with the gold accents!!!
Favorite makeover goes to Emily Henderson and that sling chair! Wait until you see the before & afters!
Working on the boys rooms I have had a lot to hang on the walls, these clips below are fantastic! They give dimension while giving an alternative to a traditional frame.
Like I said we are adding new lighting to the rooms and this light was love at first sight!!
Getting ready for summer means adding a coastal touch. An easy way to do that is by adding hand dyed indigo pillows, I just bought 2 from this Etsy store below.
We all know botanicals are a huge trend this year but what I love about them, they are a livable trend.
Needing a last minute DIY for your Easter table? These pom-pom napkin rings are the cutest!!

Have a beautiful weekend & Happy Easter!
You have a great blog and lots to share. But don’t compare yourself to Chip and Joanna who have LOTS of help. That’s how they can do it all. Even on the show, you hear them say they have so and so coming to watch the kids. They are a conglomerate now. Which is not to say, that’s a bad thing but they definitely have help.
Thank you Laura. The help is a big thing, which I don’t have and we don’t see the craziness behind the scenes as well. Have a nice holiday weekend! Jen
I’ve been seeing the gray cabinets w/ gold accents as well, and really REALLY love the look of it!
The tween room plans are fabulous! I have to start thinking about how to redecorate my 9 year old son’s room. It’s been the same for a long time now. Enjoy your weekend and Happy Easter!

Love all your favs and can’t wait to see your sons room! We did a massive kitchen renovation about a year ago and went with pale gray island cabinets, white perimeter cabinets, white walls, marble counter tops, reclaimed wood hood, and warm brass hardware! I’m still swooning!
