Preppy Christmas Bedroom

Hi there friends! I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving! Today is another Seasons of Home Holiday installment!!! Thank you to Kristen from Ella Claire for putting this incredible holiday bedroom tour together. I decided to take my bedroom in a preppy & playful direction this season. I used indigos, blush tones, creams, wool and organic greens to create a festive vibe that felt rustic and fun.

Master Bedroom Window Makeover

Hi there friends! Do you like a good makeover story?! As promised, I am finally sharing my master bedroom window makeover!! I have no words to express how much I LOVE my new natural shades from LEVOLOR!!! These windows were begging for some organic texture and a break from the monotony of the cream. The wheat tones bring the outside in and connects us to the coastal hues right outside our door.

Master Bedroom Makeover-Mixing It Up With Indigo

Hi there friends! I hope you all had a nice weekend! I am so excited to finally be sharing some updates I did to my master bedroom highlighting my love for indigo, neutrals and organic textures. Today I am revealing my bedding and rug picks from Annie Selke. When her fall catalogue came out, I was drooling over every, single page. It’s that good!!! It was a tough decision but after much debate I thought the room could use some pattern and color.

Fall Boho Living Room Inspiration + Paint Changes

Hi there friends! I hope you all had a great week! Happy almost fall! My boys went back on Wednesday and I hit the ground running with all the projects I had been planning and trying to dive into while they where home. Towards the end of summer I honestly feel like I can’t make any good design decisions or any creative ones at all for that matter. I have tried for the last few years and towards the end of summer I just give up. I let it be a reminder that I can’t be & do everything and my boys are only little once. So I decide to focus on the time I have with them, design can wait:).

Favorite Indigo Area Rugs

Hi there friends! I am in the midst of a pretty big makeover right now, which I will be sharing in more depth in my next post. With this makeover I have spent a good deal of time in design research mode and one thing I found was an abundance of gorgeous indigo area rugs out there. For me indigo has become a rich neutral that works well with any hue. Another reason I love indigo is it has casual & classic vibe that won’t be  a victim of any current trend cycles. An indigo area rug can give a room that pop of color it needs is a very subtle way and can highlight any personal style preference.  I can’t help but think of Diane Keaton’s beach house set in the Hamptons in Something’s Gotta Give, still one of my favorite movies of all time! I have watched it more times than I can count, that house, ahh…

DIY Mudcloth Pillows Using A Paint Swatch

I have been loving the look of hand dyed indigo & mudcloth pillows lately. Recently I bought a few indigo pillows from THIS Esty shop and they are beautiful. So I thought it might be fun to pair them with a fun DIY to complement the look. The best part, these mudcloth pillows cost just $6 each, which is a nice way to balance a splurge.
