Deserving Spring Makeover-Teaming Up With Lowe’s

Hi friends!

It finally feels like Spring here in NY, wahoo! It was a LONG winter not only in my neck of the woods but in plenty of other areas across the country.

Winter 2015

According to the Accumulated Winter Season Severity Index (AWSSI) the following cities are the 10 U.S. cities with the harshest winters-“10 Bleakest Cities of 2015.”

− Boston, MA

− Buffalo, New York

− Detroit, Michigan

− Hartford, Connecticut

− Louisville, Kentucky

− Nashville, Tennessee

− Newark, New Jersey

− New York City

− Portland, Maine

− Providence, RI

With that being said the cold and large amounts of snow has taken a toll on our homes especially in these areas.

But not to fret-guess who is coming to the rescue?

Yup, you guessed it!!!!

I am teaming up Lowe’s and these AMAZING bloggers to bring you a Deserving Spring Makeover!!!

  1. Bummer – I live in Lansing, MI, which is too far to be considered a suburb of Detroit. But I’m in desperate need of some expert design help in almost every room of our home 🙂 Good luck to all who qualify and to those who win!!

  2. I’m out of the target area so although I’d like to, I’ll not be making a submission. But Good Luck to all those that enter! What a great opportunity!

    1. I hear you! No where in Minnesota or Wisconsin was mentioned either. Minneapolis rated colder than even Anchorage, AL for days below freezing and days below zero in the past 10 year average. It must just be cities where the bloggers are near.

  3. Not that I’m complaining about not being in one of those areas, heavens no. Not this past winter anyway. Would love for a blogger to fix up a room or area in our house but then who wouldn’t?
Just got thru mega cleaning our mudroom/laundry/office. Phew getting bit long in tooth to do heavy stuff on my own. Hauled bakers rack out to front porch and a table from studio after moving tv & other stuff off table down long hallway thru l/r/kitchen into mudroom, phew. Hubs gone all afternoon so could get things done. Now if could get huge armoire out of mudroom.
Good luck to whomever wins. . Happy week

  4. That photo reminds me of many mornings in MT going to work about 32 miles from Helena. Could hardly get my Bronco out of pole shed with drifts in front of doors and at least 25 below.

  9. Hi Jen! This is perfect for us. I hope we win. I submitted our application last night. Like you, we live on the coast of Long Island, south shore to be specific, and are decorating our 1916 craftsman colonial with a coastal farmhouse vibe. In fact, we’re planning to steal your plank wall when we update our downstairs bathroom. I hope we win! Wish us luck!
