Small Backyard Ideas-1930s Beach Bungalow Tour
Let’s play a game of Would You Rather. Would you rather spend a week at a 1930s renovated bungalow steps from the beach with a small but incredibly beautiful and functional backyard or a week at a farmhouse in the country with an expansive backyard? There is no wrong answer here, and to be honest, give me two weeks, and I’ll split my time equally. But if you said 1930s beach bungalow, stick around. I’ve got a fabulous backyard tour for you packed with small backyard ideas, as well as a peek inside at its modern coastal vibes.
Last week, we drove down to Wilmington, NC, to relax and pack up my oldest from his first year at UNCW. I booked an Airbnb because we wanted to take Denny, our seven-year-old cockapoo. I spotted THIS listing for a 1930s bungalow near the beach and immediately swooned. The online pictures and reviews were great, so we booked it! Oh, and did I mention it’s for sale? See the listing below.
I was blown away when we arrived. The backyard was an oasis and so stinkin’ pretty. As I get older, I crave less. Don’t get me wrong, I’d stay anywhere, but if it was a place I was living day in and out, I want less to maintain. And this backyard space was perfection. I think all it was missing (if I owned it) was a hot tub.
Here is the rest of the house tour via Realtor.com. The place is FOR SALE too! You can check out the listing HERE.
Here are a few images from the interior. It has an upstairs and downstairs unit, both of which have been completely renovated. You can also rent it on Airbnb HERE. We stayed in the lower unit, which allows dogs. I would say you can fit 4 people barely. Otherwise, it was PERFECT! I would stay again & again. And as you can see by the pictures, Denny loved it!
Have a happy day, friends!
