Nancy Meyers Inspired Patio From Walmart
Over the past few months of creating Nancy Meyers-inspired content and posts, I’ve learned one thing: that I’m not the only super fan out there. The cozy, organic, casual aesthetic she has created with her movie interiors and within her own home is drool-worthy. And completely worth exploring how to recreate, hence my countless attempts.
When I saw these photos below of Nancy Meyers’ outdoor spaces in Architectural Digest, it set off a few light bulbs. I wondered if I could recreate a patio/porch look that still felt like her style but at a fraction of the cost. And having explored Walmart’s entire outdoor selection for a client recently I knew it would be a perfect match. Walmart (Better Homes & Gardens collection mostly) + Nancy Meyers, now that was a challenge I wanted to accept. I work best on a tight budget, and I think the quality isn’t always indicative of price.
I bought these white-fluted planters last year from Walmart in late May and was blown away then by the cool outdoor items they sold under BHG. By that time, most of the outdoor pieces had been sold out, so I vowed to get an early start this year.
The selection at Walmart gets better and better every year. These looks below are just as much for you as they are for me. And I can’t wait to go shopping. I have my eye on the water features and the white faux wicker furniture.
