13 Affordable Wall Sconces
The den dilemmas continue, up today are sconces. They are a timeless trend that are easy to update, so I have gathered up my favorite 13 to share with you. I am replacing the black ones that are on either side of the built-ins for a fresh pair. Brass has a hold on me lately so I thought I might jump on board with this trend but I did include some other finishes as well. As far as I can tell, brass is going to be here for a while, plus I love the warmth it brings to a space. I always analyze trends so see how much I like them, how affordable they are and if it is easy enough to change down the road. This one I like enough to make the commitment if I find the right one. All of these are under $150, which makes this a budget friendly project.

Keep in mind I am bringing in a few mid-century modern pieces and using lots of texture, so my goal for the space is to have a more modern farmhouse feel. What do you think? Which are your favorites?

4 or 6 would be my choice!
we added a family room addition to our home in october and i had planned sconces. my contractor and electrician both said they are not currently a trend and both suggested pot lights. so i did pot lights over the dining table and on either side of the fireplace with a lighted ceiling fan in between. everything has it’s own switch and i must say i love it. i have sconces in my bedroom and have changed both the globes and the fixtures as they have become dated. wish i had done pot lights there, too.

Number 6 but change shade to a cylinder shaped one…just my opinion.
They’re all nice but I like 3, 11 and 14. I would replace the old ones with much larger fixtures. The wall of wood shelves needs come competition. I’m sure whatever you choose will be great.

Maybe you should classify your version of affordable or put them in price range categories. My favorite was $495 and that is not considered affordable in my book.

I like 1 the best but wonder if it will serve a better purpose for a master bedrooms nightstands.
10 would be amazing if are hanging art below. 3 and 7 would work well if you are adding a ladder to the bookcase to bring the black in from the hardware.
