What I’m Loving Right Now-From Home to Beauty to Entertainment

Happy New Year friends! I hope you had a nice holiday break. Ours was interesting. Shane was exposed to Covid on Christmas Eve Eve so he was quarantined. I missed Christmas Eve with my family to stay home with him but since I really didn’t see him, I went to my in-laws for little bit on Christmas Day. He didn’t get it, which was a relief but so many here on Long Island had or have it now. Crazy times!

If you were wondering where I’ve been, I took a break from social media to work on revisions to my manuscript and book proposal. Anyone who’s written a book and been lucky enough to get a publisher for their book knows it’s an arduous process. I hope to share more soon.

Over the break I caught up on some reading, watched a few new shows, did some house cleaning and tried to take my beauty routine up a notch. I also went virtual house hunting where we’re considering for our next move and started planning some new projects. Oh and I perused TikTok. Check out this family coach and this artist, he paints in tin containers. If you want to follow my account I do share more vulnerable things over there.

Here’s what I’m loving right now…

This house is NOT in my price range but it’s so pretty! You can take the tour, it’s in Mount Pleasant, SC. Anyone live there? Please leave me a comment if you do.

Be still my beating heart Rock Bottom. Am I the only weirdo that gets excited over paint? I’ve used this one before but I’m thinking about it again for a focal wall. It’s earthy and moody, which are both trending for 2022.

Every house could always use more stools and texture, ha! I’m loving these faux leather stools from Target.

Anthropologie has the best hardware, check out this cool draw pull. I used it for this project but I’m thinking of using it again.

Lets talk series and movies. If you like American History you will love 1883. It’s narrated by a young pioneer girl who’s making her way across the country with her family. It’s a prequel to Yellowstone. You can find it free on Amazon.

Who doesn’t LOVE Sandy! The Unforgivable is incredible, she is amazing!

And Emily in Paris is just fun! My grandfather, whom I never met was French so I love learning more about the culture. Both are on Netflix.

The Paper Palace… this book isn’t for everyone. Read the reviews on Goodreads before you buy or take it out of the library.

These Sio eye patches are the best!!!! They make you look refreshed and reduce swelling and puffiness. You can reuse over and over again.

This bronzer is wow! My niece bought it for me for Christmas. She knows I can use all the help I can get, ha!

I Guasha everyday. It is said to improve energy flow, support circulation and lymphatic drainage.

This mascara is magic, it has tiny fibers in it.

And this lash boost serum is better than any other I’ve tried. It grows the lashes even and thick.

I take vital proteins in my coffee every morning, I swear my neck is 5-10 years younger looking. The unflavored is tasteless.

  1. Hello Jen, ive been reading your blog for awhile and really enjoy it so much. The house in Mount Pleasant caught my eye, so beautiful. while i didnt live in Mount Pleasant i do live relatively close, Bluffton S.C. i am ruffly 100 miles but that area is one we visit often. its a lovely area, so close to charleston which is one of the best cities in the south. weather is pretty perfect and so much southern charm. please feel free to contact me about any questions you may have and cant wait for your book! susie virgin [email protected]

  2. I disagree about the Vital Proteins collagen. It gave my coffee, tea, and iced tea a strange, chalky taste, and gave me intestinal cramps. I had to stop taking it.
