Holiday Housewalk-Earthy Coastal Christmas Tour

Welcome to my earthy coastal Christmas house tour, a part of Jennifer Rizzo’s annual Holiday Housewalk. This is her 10th year sharing her home as well as many talented bloggers. I honestly can’t believe it has been that long since she started inspiring fellow home enthusiasts during the holidays. When I first began blogging a decade ago it was my dream to participate in this tour, a few years later I was asked. And I have been participating ever since! To start the full tour you can click the image below.

If you are coming from Home Made by Carmona, welcome to you as well! So happy you stopped by. Carmona’s home is beautiful and I love all of her holiday touches this year!

In case you’re new to my blog my name is Jen. I live on the east end of Long Island with my 2 boys, Shane and Jack, husband John and sweet cockapoo Denny. We live steps from the bay which is a blessing in so many ways.

When you walk in the front door you are greeted by this floating bench. I kept things simple this year creating a swag of sorts over the mirror.

I just redid my powder room not too long ago so I added a candle and fresh eucalyptus. I love the botanical peel and stick wallpaper from Livettes.

Onto my former dining room, now den/office. It’s a place we ALL use a lot, really! You can check out how I keep my sofa clean HERE.

The built-in is always fun to decorate so I did it twice. I made this Christmas village above from houses in the dollar section at Target. It cost me under $20!! You can find the video HERE.

The magnifying glass on the coffee table belongs to my father as do many of the books scattered around my house. My mother loved Christmas so I use many of her ornaments and holiday accessories this time of year. It makes me feel like they are still with me even though they are not.

I made these DIY abstract ornaments with left over paint, this was one of my favorites! Very therapeutic!

Another favorite project is the pampas grass wreath I made, you can watch the video tutorial. The digital art is from Etsy.

I have always wanted a smaller Christmas tree for this room and this year it finally happened. It’s from Balsam Hill it’s the Frosted Alpine Balsam Fir. I  added simple strands of wood beads and left it natural.

Now we walk into my family room. It has views of the bay and is attached to my farmhouse front porch. Any any given moment through the day you will see Denny nestled in the cushions, I swear he thinks he’s a cat, lol!

I also created 2 looks in this room simply by changing the art. Below is look one with digital abstract art from Etsy.

As the sun sets it gives everything a beautiful glow.

I hung outdoor bulbs lights in case we entertain, although it is getting quite cold here so I’m not sure about that.

From the porch you can see into my den. I love seeing the tree lit from outside, it’s magical!

Onto the next house tour! I met Diane from In My Own Style years ago when we both attended a March Madness face off at the BHG headquarters in Des Moines. Diane is not only nice but so creative!

Thank you for stopping by! have a happy day!
