in the last 2 years,

I am humbled & beyond grateful!

There wouldn’t be a blog without you on the other side reading & following every post,

Ok, onto the BIG{GEST} news…..

I had a dream so big & Loud Feature

Better Homes & Gardens is coming to my house next week for a photo shoot!!!!

I cant even believe it!!!!

All week I kept saying, me, seriously, what?!

It is has been such a whirlwind of emotions{in a good way of course}, this has been a dream of mine for such a long time!!!

Growing up I was the “creative” girl, head in the clouds thinking of what I could make next.

And there was my mother,

letting me know it was ok if my gifts weren’t like everyone else’s & encouraging me every step of the way.

Me being here has EVERYTHING to do with her.

{She was the queen of resourcefulness}

She would be SO over the moon by this incredible news:)!!!

 Quotes-Never Stop DReaming There is still so much to still do, omg:).

I giving everyone in my house lists of “to dos”,

from this point on it’s GAME ON, lol.if your dreams dont scare you then..

The best part of all of this…

my boys get to see with their own eyes that dreams really do come true:).

We talk a lot about home on this blog so I thought it was important to share this part of my life with you. We put our childhood home on the market in the beginning of April, and it has been a gut-wrenching process. As someone who truly loves home and then add in 46 incredible years of memories in one place, it has been one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. I know it seems silly but it has felt like I am saying good bye to my childhood; to my mother, my father, my sister, the memories and our home at all once.

Modern Wood Silhouettes: An Evergreen Trend

Hi there friends! I am about to hit a blogging milestone in March, 6 years!!! The design lesson that resonates most through this time is, beware of trends. With that being said I have seen a lot of trends come & go and many I was happy to see hit the road. There have been a few though, that stood the test of time, which is refreshing, we call these “evergreen” trends. One in particular that I loved from the very beginning is silhouettes and I am happy to say I still do. We have seen these traditional favorites done many ways through the years, so I thought why not update mine and give them a modern perspective using wood.
