I have some fun news to share! I will be heading back to Haven this year as a mentor!!! Last year I had the honor of being a part of this incredible event in which I spoke about design & decorating with THIS amazing blogger and friend. To say it was fun, exciting & inspiring doesn’t do it justice. It was so much more than just a conference for me, so to be asked again to be a part of it on this level is both humbling and super exciting.

I am so thankful your family is safe and your home survived.
I’m so glad to hear that you made it through without any major damage. The fallen trees feel like such small things when you see what others are dealing with, don’t they?
so glad to hear you and your family are safe and warm. My heart aches for all those that aren’t so fortunate.
So glad y’all are safe and sound and didn’t have much damage. Thanks for sharing these pictures.
so glad you are safe! we made it through with no damage and our lights never even flickered, which was crazy since we were predicted to be hit badly.
So glad to read your post and hear that you and your family are safe. And how wonderful that your home did not have major damage. I have been thinking of you!

Glad you are okay. What a terrible storm. What Bay do you live on. My SIL is from the Hamptons and they have a summer home on the bay.
So devastating but glad you and your family are safe.
So glad you’re okay! So sad for the others.

Thank goodness!
Jen,
I am SO glad to hear your family is safe and your house was spared. Mom and I are also safe, and our house (rental) is fine, but we lost power on Monday at 5pm and don’t have any idea when we might get it back! We also are having a terrible time getting food, gas, medicine, etc. . . Because no one anywhere near us has power either. Trees are down everywhere and there is a lot of damage. I can only get very sporadic cell phone service and this is the first I could get on the Internet via the iPad since the storm. (It is Thurs. morning around 6:18 am).
Anyway, I am glad for you and I hope you will pray for Mom and I that things improve soon. It is getting very cold, and we are running low on supplies.
Hugs and prayers,
Maureen Hayes
Very glad to hear you and your home are okay. So sad to hear that your neighbours didn’t fare so well. Life does challenge us but hopefully things will be done quickly to get everyone’s life back to some sort of normalcy.
Hi Jen,
I am so sorry for everyone touched by this disaster. My thoughts have been with you and I am relieved to hear your home and family are ok.
Jenn, so happy that you are okay and only suffered a little house damage! My heart aches for all those affected.
wow it still looks pretty rough, glad to hear family and home are safe
Thank you all so much for your thoughts & prayers:). It is so sad to see the damage & the people that are suffering. We got lucky, many others did not. Please keep your prayers coming for the area & all who continue to be effected by this. Thank you:)!!!!
That’s Great News, Jen. I have been thinking of you and hoping for the best.
Looks like aside from the damage that was done, you really live a wonderful place. looks like a lovely neighborhood. You might not be feeling that way right now. But all will be restored soon.
Good to know your family is safe and sound and how fortunate that your home was spared! Here in California we feel so far removed, but seeing the pictures is a sad reminder of how much damage was done. Thanks for sharing.
